At Ohk energy, we host multiple lunch and learn events throughout the year with the goal of educating and supporting our staff.
These sessions are designed to shed light on the everyday challenges and struggles that any of us may face in our personal lives. By fostering understanding and open dialogue, we aim to create a supportive workplace environment where everyone feels valued and heard.
Each event is dedicated to a different aspect of daily life, ensuring a well-rounded approach to employee well-being.
Training and equipping our staff with the skills and certifications required to carry out their job in the safest way possible is paramount to us. The health and safety of our team is a the forefront of everything we do. For the relevant staff we provide courses and carry out training like manual handling, working at heights, abrasive wheels, MUP, SSSP, first aid and customer service training to name just a few.
The initiative is entirely free for all our staff, and we create an environment that encourages upskilling by offering fully funded courses of their choice.
This allows our team members to enhance their skills in their current roles or advance their careers.
At Ohk energy, we believe in empowering the next generation to build a sustainable future. Our Bright Eyes Program brings the excitement of renewable energy to schools across Ireland, educating children in a fun and engaging way.
Through interactive sessions, we teach kids about the importance of renewable energy and how small changes in their homes and daily lives can make a big impact on the environment.
Our goal is not only to inspire eco-friendly habits but also to spark curiosity and passion, encouraging the next generation to become renewable energy experts and advocates for a greener world.
From apprenticeships to undergraduate programs and traineeships, we’re committed to providing hands on learning and career development in the renewable energy industry, We have a dedicated education coordinator who supports and mentors apprentices, undergraduates, and trainees, helping them balance the work and educational aspects of these initiatives.
We are delighted to have teamed up with the CMETB to collaborate on the first ever renewable energies technologies course in Ireland. The program has already proven to be a ground breaking initiative, equipping students with the knowledge and skills to become Ireland’s next renewable energy professionals.
We aim to deliver exceptional service to our customers while also becoming a leading hub for workforce education within the industry.
We have teamed up with Reforest Nation to take meaningful action in the fight against climate change. For every solar and heat pump installation we complete, we plant an oak tree, helping to restore Ireland’s native woodlands, support biodiversity and create a healthier environment for future generations.

We believe in giving back to the community and making a real difference. That’s why we’re proud to support Barretstown, a charity dedicated to transforming the lives of children affected by serious illness.
We hope this initiative will drive people to dispose of their waste batteries in an environmentally conscious way, whilst raising funds for a worthy children’s charity. This initiative aligns with our mission to create a cleaner, more sustainable future while also supporting a cause that brings joy and hope to those who need it most.

At Ohk energy, we believe in the power of community and giving back. That’s why, when we teamed up with Leinster and Ireland back-row star Caelan Doris, we saw an opportunity to make a real difference. To celebrate our partnership with Caelan, we launched the Power a Brighter Future campaign, raising vital funds for ISPCC by Childline.
From August 6th, 2024, to September 6th, 2024, we pledged €50 from every sale of solar PV systems and air-to-water heat pumps to Childline, an organisation dedicated to supporting vulnerable children across Ireland. Thanks to the support of our customers and community, we are proud to announce that we raised over €16,300 for this incredible cause!
Since this incredible response we have vowed to make this an annual campaign, aligning with our mission to give back to communities far and wide.
We’ve been awarded the ESGo Accreditation. We we’re delighted when Climeaction reached out to us to partake in this innovative initiative. We’re delighted to be part of a select group of local businesses that piloted Climeaction’s new digital solution.
This tool is designed to help large organisations support their SME supply chains and boost ESG performance, and the pilot was a great success. Together, we’re creating positive change and improving business for all. The time to act is now!
